University–Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and
anchor institution located in Newark, New Jersey—a city of
promise—is seeking a Program Manager for the Rutgers Business
School Executive Education ( RBSEE ) Center. Reporting to the
Associate Dean of Executive Education, the Program Manager oversees
a diverse portfolio of management and executive education programs
designed for corporate clients and individual participants.
Programs are delivered through custom corporate engagements,
on-site corporate programs, open enrollment offerings to the
general public, and online formats for both individual and
corporate audiences. The Program Manager is responsible for the
planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of both new and existing
programs. This role requires a self-starter who can work
independently and effectively, build and sustain relationships with
senior executives and faculty, diagnose complex organizational
needs, identify business opportunities, and ensure the successful
execution of programs from concept through completion. This
position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
Manage a portfolio of executive education programs across custom,
open enrollment, on-site, and online formats Plan, design, deliver,
and evaluate new and existing programs Build and maintain strong
relationships with senior executives, corporate partners, and
faculty Diagnose organizational and client needs to identify
business and program opportunities Grow the business portfolio by
attracting new clients and expanding existing accounts Develop and
qualify sales leads; initiate pre-sales and client engagement
activities Monitor and strategically grow program revenue while
controlling costs Maintain responsibility for profit and loss for
assigned programs and portfolio Optimize client touchpoints to
drive satisfaction, retention, revenue growth, and program
enhancement Identify and advance initiatives critical to
departmental and program success Ensure high-quality program
execution and an exceptional overall customer experience Preferred
Qualifications Sales, consulting and public relations skills.
Excellent written and oral communications. Relationship management,
facilitation, leadership and team-based competencies.
Self-management -time, priorities, delegation, getting work done
through others, relationships. Knowledge of training needs
assessment techniques, curriculum development and learning
materials design. Project planning and management skills. Word
processing, spreadsheets software and internet skills required.
Prefer strong financial acumen and P&L ownership/financial
management experience, international experience, knowledge in the
field of adult learning especially executive education. Prefer
experience in sales, marketing and client relationship management
and proven ability to sell management and executive development
programs to corporate clients.
