What you'll be doing... The Defend Project Management Office
(PMO)is responsible for providing operational support to the Defend
Execution & Sales Teams across Verizon Business Group (VBG). This
includes the development, implementation and execution of risk
mitigation & revenue retention strategies, priorities and
initiatives that lead to improvements in overall sales performance,
customer satisfaction, profitable revenue growth and return on
investment across VBG. The objective of the Defend PMO is to
protect and grow VBG's base of revenue. The Defend PMO are trusted
advisors that work closely with VBG's executive leaders in sales,
sales ops & management, PCM, marketing, legal, pre sales, order
management, and technology partners to mitigate risk within the
business. This is a high impact, visible role that includes
analysis and close collaboration with key business leaders
throughout the company to provide recommendations. Optimize revenue
outcomes, and drive process improvements. To be successful in this
role, candidates require a deep awareness and understanding of the
Industry, Verizon, internal systems / order management / contract
process, and VBG's product portfolio. Responsibilities: Program
development/management and governance within the Defend PMO
organization (Disconnect Process, VRD, Credits and Renewals). Work
directly with all organizations related to Defend activities to
evaluate, ensure accountability and realize potential synergies
with other programs. Actively participate as a key stakeholder
during program creation and responsible for ongoing review through
the life of the initiative. Collaborate with marketing in
development of tools and resources for the sales organization as it
relates to Defend activities. Ability to influence and collaborate
with HQ and Field Sales Operations. Manage cross functional teams
both inside and outside of Defend organization. Interface with
executive leadership. Provide leadership and guidance to other PMO
team members. Act as a liaison with the Field Sales Operations
organization. This position can be located in any valid US East
Coast/Central Verizon Location. What we're looking for... You'll
need to have... Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work
experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in VLSS or Finance or Pricing Contract Management (PCM)
or Client Service Management (CSM) and/or Bill-to-cash. Experience
with PowerPoint and Excel. Even better if you have... A degree.
Experience with customer credits, contracts, and billing with
proven ability to identify and facilitate process improvements.
Experience supporting Sales and/or Operations organizations. Strong
program experience. Ability to present at the executive level.
Detail oriented with ability and drives to follow through.
Experience resolving complex customer requirements and/or disputes.
Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and
able to work independently. Ability to coordinate the activities of
cross-functional teams and provide project management support.
