Production and Logistics Specialist needed in Elmsford, NY

Direct Hire Opportunity

Salary 80-90K, based on experience

Potential for up to 30k in bonus per year

Schedule Mon-Fri 8am-430pm**There may be times would need to stay late or be in early depending on shipping schedule/needs.

• This role assists the CEO in analytical reporting, cost controls and creating efficiency opportunities.
• Act as in interdepartmental liaison.
• In addition, this role works with the Plant Manager to maintain key functions of purchasing, inventory organization, and production planning.PURCHASING DUTIES
  • Generate purchase orders for vendors (categories to include raw product, paper, chemicals)
  • Submit purchase orders to vendor, obtain order acknowledgement of receipt
  • High level of checks and balances to ensure accurate information
  • Follow-up with vendors deliveries
  • Secure receiving ticket, verify invoice matched purchase order and approve invoice for payment
  • Frequent reconciliation of manufacturing program with current pricing
  • Competitive bidding of raw product price against preferred vendors
  • Competitive bidding of shipping freight price against preferred vendor
  • Arrange wholesale customer shipping freight
  • Arrange customer pick-ups
  • Maintain accurate inventory between bakery and manufacturing program of raw productsPRODUCTION & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT DUTIES
    • Assist in weekly production scheduling utilizing the manufacturing program
    • Printing/distributing proper paperwork for the production team (day and night crew)
    • Assist in closing production schedules from the previous day(s) through our manufacturing program
    • Hight level of ensuring quality- FIFO, first in first out
    • Maintaining accurate inventory between bakery and manufacturing program of finished products
    • Run weekly gross profit margin reports from our system REQUIREMENTS
      • Must demonstrate knowledge pertaining to core functions of Purchasing; 3-5 years experience preferred
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Strong mathematical foundation for conversion of recipes and data; Bakery experience is a plus
      • Computer knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (experience in FlexiBake is a plus)
      • Detail oriented and organized individual
      • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
