Senior Records & Information Analyst

**Summary**
The Senior Records & Information Analyst works on our Digital
Warehouse team and is instrumental in supporting enterprise content
system usage, records, and information management requirements
including processes, governance, and employee training for document
collection, storage, controlled access/retrieval, archives, and
disposal.
The Senior Analyst ensures control of records, standardization of
content, and quality control, in compliance with external and
organization-specific regulations and standards, thus supporting
business in remaining compliant with audits, inspections,
divestitures, litigation activities and document protection. Also,
enables effective cataloguing and findability of content &
knowledge through a customized taxonomy.

**Responsibilities**
+ Facilitate effective and efficient business processes for NYPAs
business records and information in accordance with NYPAs records
and content management policies.
+ Develop and deploy enterprise-wide information management
solutions in support of NYPAs strategic initiatives.
+ Lead major records, library or content management initiatives or
projects for internal NYPA customers to support NYPAs digital
transformation.
+ Provide senior-level technical support and problem-solving
expertise to team members, to facilitate and maximize efficient and
effective business practices.
+ Under general direction, responsible for the lifecycle of
physical and electronic content and records, and the supporting
policies and procedures.
+ Assist with the development of controlled vocabulary or Taxonomy
for use in NYPA systems
+ Design and conduct usability studies, for all internal NYPA
information sites.
+ Support the corporate library with NYPA facing integrations.
+ Evaluate business processes and requirements and create seamless
workflows to capture records and manage content. Document these
processes for others to follow.
+ Develop programmatic ways to capture metadata and other valuable
data to support records compliance.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ A strong understanding of content management principles,
approaches and solutions and demonstrated application
+ Working knowledge of basic programming languages (such as Visual
Basic, SQL, HTML, or basic AI) and basic intranet design.
+ Ability to work effectively with all levels of the
organization
+ Demonstrated strong experience with state-of-art electronic
filing and content management systems
+ Strong organizational, leadership, consulting, change and project
management skills; ability to prioritize and manage a project from
conception to completion, including working with end users to
define their procedures for records retention.
+ Demonstrated strategic, systematic, analytical and conceptual
thinking.
+ An understanding of New York State and Federal laws and
regulations and how they impact the Utilities industry and the
requirements for management of utility and New York State agency
records, including those in electronic media.
+ Ability to communicate work assignments to subordinates and
ensure that assignments are completed on time and orderly
manner.
**Education, Experience and Certifications**
+ Bachelors degree required. Masters of Library and information
sciences preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years experience in the Information Library and Records
Management field.
+ Professional certification, such as Certified Records Manager
(CRM) or Masters of Library Science preferred.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to lift boxes weighing 20 lbs, reach and bend to retrieve
and return files on shelves.
+ Ability to travel 15 % of the time, to NYPAs locations, at the
career and senior/lead level

range for this position is: $81,200 - $99,240. Salary offered will
be determined based the successful candidates relevant experience,
knowledge, skills, and abilities.
