Team member in multi-disciplinary groups to promote efficiency and effectiveness in Revenue Cycle.2. Coordinating payer denial and audit reporting activities to ensure timely response for the processing of all payer denials, audit request and appeals.3. Communicating and coordinating with various individuals, distribution of information and assisting with monitoring of the day to day reporting related to bill edits, claim rejections and denials'4. Preparing, Collecting/Analyzing report status, metrics and trends of activity by different reviews from data/information. Preparing and responsible for further investigation while distributing reports on a routine basis to specific distribution groups assigned: Executive Team, Revenue Cycle Committee's, and Dept. Leaders/Managers.5. Retrieving, Creating, and Organizing all data and activity: Weekly, Monthly Dashboards and Reports.6. Analysis and trending of metrics and reports out to senior leadership of findings.7. Strong Communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest level of quality of work to support the achievement of best practice performance standards8. Supports Management Team of the oversight of Revenue Cycle daily review, data analysis, trending assessment of Outsource Vendor Denials, Aged Receivables to report trends to propose revenue cycle change for efficiency.9. Keeping abreast of all reimbursement billing procedures of third party and private insurance payers.10. Insures compliance with Federal Government and New York Department of Health's rules, regulations, and codes including JCAHO requirements.Reviews reports on a daily basis insuring the maintenance of statistical data and works with Patient Financial, Credit/Collections and Patient Access departments if needed to determine appropriate action of managing information received, i.e. error reports and bill edits.12. Identifies, Communicates and coordinates Best Practice Practices related to Denials Pre and Post Pay to minimize future occurrence to increase process efficiency and performance.13. Uses judgment, critical thinking and works independently to assess, identify and to communicate suggestions for change to follow required guidelines to improve efficiency and process14. Maintains a thorough understanding of the clinical documentation, Work Queues, charging process and billing processes.15. Will work with the Revenue Cycle Mgt. Team to help identify revenue enhancement strategies through contracting terms, language and methodology and reporting trending methodology.Performs other duties as assignedEducation, Training, Licensure and Experience RequirementsMinimum Education : High School or GED required. Associates Degree preferredMinimum Experience: 3-5 years Revenue Cycle operations to include patient financial services management, accounts receivable and other experience with a functional knowledge in hospital registration environment.Proficiency with Microsoft office/excel to include reporting, Executive level preferredInterpersonal SkillsMust be able to speak, write understand and communicate the English language.Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Integrity to handle the confidential aspects of work.Retains composure under stress.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (3-4 hrs). Must be capable of hand and eye coordination. Must be physically able to lift, stand, bend, stoop and walk short distances.Essential Mental AbilitiesMust have the ability to perform repetitive functions. Must be capable of concentrating for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to follow supervisor orders and/or respond to requests.
