SummaryAt the New York Power Authority, you will be empowered to

digital utility in the country.Our paid Summer Developmental
Internship, running from June 5 - August 4, is a 9-week program
that may be a hybrid of virtual and in-person experiences. As an
Intern, you will receive professional development, on-the job
experience in the energy industry, exposure to executives, and
networking opportunities to help build a solid foundation for your
future career.If you are passionate about our mission - to lead the

customer partnerships, innovative energy solutions, and the
responsible supply of affordable, clean and reliable electricity,
we are looking for you!Project Specifics:In this role, you will
work with the Data Engineering team to develop data pipelines to
support the below projects:1. Asset Intelligence Use Cases2.
Customer Master Data These two projects are critical to meet our
goal to deliver prioritized BU and IT projects to support
Digitization, Operations excellence, and provide better customer
experience.The Summer Developmental Intern program is ideal for a
college or graduate level student interested in:
- Exploring how hydropower, energy efficiency, electric vehicles
and various exciting initiatives at NYPA are changing the power
industry
- Seeing firsthand what it's like to work for New York State
- Learning about NYPA's commitment to New York State citizens and
the communities where our generation facilities are located
- Learning about our various energy sites to see how our power is
made and how important it is to provide reliable electricity in New
York
- Gaining a foundation on the energy regulations that govern our
industryInternships will be ideal for students pursuing degrees in
the following disciplines:Data analytics
- Data Engineering
- Data Science
- Data AnalyticsResponsibilities
- Participate in department-specific projects, analysis, research
methods and learn project management skills
- Develop business solutions that support the delivery of NYPA's
VISION2030
- Participate in a cross-functional team project
- Research and provide insight on industry best practices
- Other duties as assigned; will vary based on area of
interestKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with
competing priorities

- Must be matriculated in an undergraduate or graduate program at
an accredited institution at the time of application
