Job Description:
Senior User Experience Designer Opportunity Apex Systems, the
Nations 2nd largest Technical Staffing and Services Firm, has an
opening for a Senior User Experience Designer at a leading
Healthcare Insurance company for a 7-month contract with the
opportunity to be extended. This candidate does need to be local to
Chicago, Il or Louisville, Kentucky and willing to go onsite on
occasion when the client resumes onsite. Are you a skilled

technical and strategic professionals across the organization to

this may be the position for you! The Experience Team is
responsible for creating exceptional user-centered digital
experiences that achieve business goals and exceed user
expectations across a wide range of digital experiences, including
web and mobile. The team collaborates with leading design agencies,
user-research firms and teams across the organization focused on
integrating and developing best practices in usability, analytics,
accessibility, and cross-platform strategy in an Agile development
environment. As a key member of the UX team, the Sr. User
Experience Designer will be responsible for developing exceptional
user experiences that achieve business goals and exceed customer
expectations across a wide range of web and mobile experiences. As
the Senior User Experience Designer, you will: Develop
game-changing, industry-leading, enviable digital experiences to
simplify the customer acquisition experience for multiple lines of
business Know the business, how to speak the business language, and
translate consumer insights into UX strategies and execution that
propel us to a bright future Serve as primary point of contact for
all your UX efforts for Digital work streams and/or Products Work
with UX Leads from every channel to create an end-to-end UX
strategy Lead communication and collaboration between product
interaction designers, visual designers, content strategists, and
copywriters to ensure alignment of UX deliverables Collaborate and
build consensus with key stakeholders; always representing the user
point of view, striking the balance between the ideal, and the
realities of feasibility and delivery Maintain deep understanding
of the current experience, business objectives, audience(s),
roadmap, features, design trends and best practices, research,
metrics, VOC and other measures, competitive landscape, and full
digital ecosystem Partner with the research team to create
long-term research strategy to facilitate ongoing discovery and
iterative delivery Partner with content strategy team to
continuously drive and improve content, navigation and site
architecture via card-sorting, tree-testing and quantitative
research Lead efforts to continuously improve the digital customer
acquisition experience, including usability testing, heuristic
evaluation, competitive analysis, and MVT; share findings with UX,
project, and business stakeholders Lead creation of early design
sketches and end state vision/design prototypes to help inform
strategy Have a clear point of view on an optimized customer
acquisition experience while helping stakeholders define minimum
viable product Ensure that digital principles, standards, styles,
design patterns, and renderings are followed and represented
correctly Maintain prioritized list of needed improvements and
maintenance items, initiating and leading efforts to complete these
items Identify opportunities to stretch current or create new
digital standards Assist with team-building, onboarding, and
mentoring UX team members assigned to the product Role Essentials
At least 5 years of experience as an Information Architect, User
Experience Designer/Architect, User Interface Designer, or
Interaction Designer A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to
strategically create compelling user experiences that factor in
business goals, development capabilities, design standards and user
needs Strong understanding of interaction design principles and
current global UI/design pattern standards Strategically adept with
a penchant for curiosity; determined Ability to prioritize and stay
focused on fewer, bigger, better, and faster In-depth knowledge of
performance metrics Demonstrated ability to work with and influence
stakeholders to determine business strategy in the digital arena,
develop and execute big ideas while maintaining collaborative
working relationships. Experience designing with business,
technical and design guideline constraints Experience in working on
multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt existing
processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs and
improve efficiency and quality Demonstrated ability to design
complex transactional user interfaces and interactions for web,
mobile and cross channel experiences Experience creating conceptual
models, site maps, interaction flows, design patterns, UI
specifications, taxonomies and metadata frameworks Demonstrated
experience in defining research criteria, leading or participating
in user research, and translating user research into design
decisions Ability to track and predict industry trends Experience
creating interactive prototypes (e.g., Axure, Sketc, InVision,
Adobe XD) Role Desirables Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer
Interaction or similar field; an advanced degree in human computer
interaction, user interface design, human factors or design
planning, is preferred Significant relevant work experience may
substitute for an advanced degree At least 2 years of experience
integrating mobile/responsive design into Information and/or
Experience Architecture Self-starter who can make significant
progress with minimal guidance Experience creating accessible
designs Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic
environment Must be extremely well-organized and capable of
handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities
effectively Blend of corporate and agency experience is a plus
Proficient with: Axure, InVision,Sketch/Sympli, Microsoft Office
Familiarity with online usability testing platforms such as Optimal
Workshop and Usertesting.com Excellent analytical and
process-oriented skills Excellent verbal, written and presentation
