Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform architectural assignments under the supervision of principal and senior project managers and assistant project managers
• Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents drafting work on projects of various size and complexity
• Develop architectural floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, sections and details using AutoCAD
• Perform site surveys and develop existing conditions plans and demolition plans on projects ranging in size up to 2,000,000 sf.
• Assist in maintaining and utilization of office drafting standards
• Ability to meet project schedulesDescription:
  • AutoCAD production is the primary responsibility of this position. Experience in architectural design, detailing and construction documents is required
  • Being a passionate an enthusiastic individual is a key factor
  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines
  • Candidates must be able to understand design drawings and intent such that they are able to incorporate design intent into construction documentsQualifications:
    • Minimum of two years of experience in construction documents.
    • Preference is given to those who have at least two years of experience creating construction documents in an architectural firm
    • Commercial or Healthcare experience
    • Strong engineering (MEP) experience is valuable although not required
    • Understanding of Building Codes and construction standards of care
    • Associates degree minimum, Bachelor of Architecture preferred
    • Eligibility to work in the United States
    • A minimum of two years of professional proficiency in AutoCAD
    • SketchUp proficiency is a plus
    • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
