Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the U.S. Northeast, is seeking a dedicated Manager of Hauling Operations to oversee and enhance our hauling operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and effective waste collection services while adhering to regulatory compliance and achieving environmental sustainability goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, optimizing routes, managing team performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee daily operations of hauling teams to ensure compliance with all governmental and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations. Manage scheduling, routing, maintenance, and operation of the vehicle fleet. Lead, coach, and develop a team of drivers and operational staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards. Analyze operational data to propose enhancements in operational efficiency and service quality. Collaborate with other departments such as Safety, Maintenance, and Customer Service to optimize overall workflow and customer satisfaction. Prepare and control operational budgets, and perform cost-benefit analysis on new projects. Handle crisis management and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
