Job Description:
In Research and Pre-Clinical Development IT, we deliver complex
enterprise systems to help the Research Scientists at Regeneron
solve their toughest business problems. We bring together
multi-disciplinary, highly skilled technical teams to deliver
high-quality system solutions and services that deliver business
value. The Associate Director - IT Data Management is a key member
of the team who will work closely with other IT partners as well as
our Scientists to organize/manage/transform our biological research
data into scientific insights easier and faster. You will leverage
our data platforms, architecture, design, implementations, testing
and deployment of scientific data applications into data solutions
& visualization platforms that inform our scientists in a
user-friendly fashion. This role is based at our Global Research HQ
in Tarrytown, NY with a minimum of 4 days onsite required - this is
not open to fully remote or hybrid work. As an Associate Director -
Research IT Data Management, a typical day may include the
following: Contributes to strategic planning to ensure optimized
use of data management resources within the area of responsibility.
Collaboration with Data SMEs and Scientists to improve data models,
increasing data accessibility and promoting data-driven decision
making Manages the team designing/developing Data Solution that
includes data warehouses, data stores, data lakes, data pipelines,
machine learning and other business intelligence and analytics
systems Manages R&pD IT & Research Users demands around data
solutions throughout the complete lifecycle, starting from demand
to definition, design, development, maintenance and operations of
data solutions for business insights, leveraging data platform
solutions Implements and drives strong data governance, data
security and management frameworks, policies, protocols and
standard operating procedures for R&pD functions. Standardizes
quality assurance and testing processes to enhance data quality and
accuracy. Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form,
metrics, structure and attributes of the data intelligence tools
and systems. Provides process maturing data stewardship for
research data. Mentoring on approach and execution of solutions,
coaching on technologies, and establishing a team-wide
comprehension of solution capabilities and direction This role may
be for you if you can: Effectively manage the delivery of BI, Big
Data, Data Lake & Data Warehouse solutions, scaling appropriately
for different stakeholders. Inspire software development teams,
lead training initiatives and demonstrate a capacity to educate
team members. Collaborate with other IT teams, vendor partners,
internal collaborators, and architects to deliver business
solutions; being an advocate for a DevOps approach to the software
development lifecycle. Operate efficiently within Agile development
methodologies, leading software development teams in an
Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment. Formulate and
articulate the technical and political implications of creating and
delivering transformative technical solutions in an innovative,
high-growth, demanding business area Work directly with Senior IT
Leaders in an advisory role on technical strategies. Operate both
autonomously and in groups across a highly matrixed organization
with a deadline-oriented, continuous-improvement mindset. To be
considered for this role, you must have an advanced degree in
Biology or advanced degree in Computer Science with 10 years of
experience working on Big Data Platforms (EMR & Hadoop preferable)
of any size/scale. Relevant expereince working within R&D IT
programs for a Pharma / Biotech highly preferred. The role requires
excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent
verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
effectively interact with IT & Scientific teams / business partners

- $252,800.00
