Job Description:

The National Security Sector within Leidos is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program. The purpose of this program is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for DHS/CBP mission-critical systems. Mobile App Developers require a strong mix of communication skills and hands-on technical troubleshooting to support application issues and implement preventative measures.In this hands-on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will exercise judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and resource constraints. You will participate in and/or lead major project deliverables through all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. The candidate should have expertise in Mobile App Development.This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, 2 times a week.Basic Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree and 12 years of relevant experience or Master's with 10 years of relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years experience with Mobile Application Development, with experience on both Android & iOS
• Experience in Front-end Mobile and Back-end RESTful API development
• Experience in development of Java and Node.js applications
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
• Strong application testing discipline
• Experience with Google's Flutter engine and Dart language, and similar Android/iOS frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Creative thinking
• Proficiency with Postgres, Spring Boot, SQL, Kafka, MySQL, Hibernate, Java, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular/React; knowledge of software design patterns
• Experience with issue/problem tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
• Proficiency with Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and modern development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with DevOps frameworks
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation prior to startingPreferred Qualifications:
  • Active CBP Background Investigation
  • Experience with CBP
  • AWS experience
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile environments
