Take your career beyond the ordinary to the extraordinary by serving as the Managing Director, Security & Technology Services Business Manager. In this role, you will define and develop an integrated planning and control function that supports the Information Security and Technology Services with key strategic and financial planning capabilities. You will drive the organizational change required to ensure the continuous improvement that aligns with the bank's vision and strategy. In this role, you will take responsibility for financial planning, performance and program management as well as governance and controls within the Office of the CIO group. This role requires a blend of strategist, cross-functional collaboration, and results driven champion. The incumbent of this role must demonstrate strong people leadership and team-work skills. This person must also have the ability to gather and analyze information to drive decisions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders throughout the organization. Strategic and Financial Planning

  • Developing and outlining the strategic plan roadmap that addresses all elements of the ToM: People and Organization; Processes; Technology; Vendors; Governance and Location
  • Responsible for Development of a financial plan and model to support the strategic roadmap for the Office of the CIO
  • Developing financial budgets and operating plans Performance Management
    • Responsible for ensuring that strategic objectives shaped at Executive Leadership level are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress.
    • Putting in place processes for reporting against the Performance Management framework and holding KPA Owners accountable against the key measures
    • Ensuring that the Performance Management framework, continues to be fit for purpose and measures the agreed Key Performance Areas (KPAs) of: Service Value; Service Efficiency; Service Quality; Service Risk and Colleague Engagement
      • Develop periodic dashboards that allow the management team and executive management to easily review service performance (Quality, Efficiency, Effectiveness and risk management)
      • Regularly review KPIs for appropriateness reporting thresholds
      • Developing structured portfolio of change projects and high-level descriptions that articulate business value to internal business stakeholders
      • Ensuring that business change projects are delivered in line with agreed strategic plans
      • Acting as an escalation point for resource conflicts in the project portfolio - If needed, rebalance resources between different areas e.g. reallocating headcount and/or budgets, but within overall approved resources for the year Governance
        • Maintaining ownership of the full range of governance meetings supporting Security and Technology services. Ensuring cadence, attendance, agenda and minutes are professionally organized
        • Developing a delegated approval matrix so that pre-agreed budget items can be signed off at the appropriate level
        • Monitoring and reporting on delegated and overall budgets and progress against financial forecasts
        • Delegating signing power for pre-agreed budget items - including signing off of invoices and quotes within mandate. Escalating out of budget items for approval; Sign off capital expenditure within budget
        • Regularly reviewing performance management, service management, financial management and program management for lessons learned and make recommendations for changes to KPIs and to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Qualifications Who We Want
          • At least 6-8 years general operations Management experience at senior level
          • A minimum of 10 years varied experience in relevant roles including Project Management, Business Risk Management, Service Management and Information Technology.
          • Broad background in Information Technology and/or Information security
          • Experience of defining and agreeing strategic and financial plans and budgets
          • Familiarity with Lean six sigma concepts, principles and tools
          • Excellent presentation and analysis skills including advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
          • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration
          • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications.
          • Knowledge of internal/external banking and financial processes.
          • Strong analytical and statistical aptitude.
          • Excellent interpersonal skills-Strong communications, both verbally and written. Ability to influence others and establish/maintain collaborative relationships.
          • Strong management skills, leadership, ability to work in a matrix environment with cross functional teams.
          • Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines
          • Other Attributes - flexible and agile; takes initiative and solves problems; decisive; outstanding ability to think outside-the-box and use resources at hand to effortlessly get to the bottom of an issue; extremely accurate and detail-oriented coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
