Job Description:

Primary Function: The Clinical Affairs Managerwill be dedicated to the oversight of the technical and professional clinical integrity and performance of the firm to ensure that the highest level of competencies are met for both the technical and professional components. They will lead the Quality Assurance, Programming Committee, and Education Teams while communicating successes and challenges to the Executive Team. They will coordinate and develop a Research Team in order to publish white papers related to IONM techniques and value (or not) to the surgical team. They will strive to develop the highest trained and most competent IONM team, with 100% certified technologists, in order to perform any monitoring requested for any type of surgery. This technologist team will be able to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction to the patient, hospital staff, surgeon and his surgical team. The Clinical Team will be Masters of IONM services including, but not limited to, documentation. They will work with the President and Technical Directors to hire technical staff and recommend support staff in order to maintain efficiency and fill company needs. The Vice President of Clinical Affairs is also dedicated to making the company a home that every technologist would want to spend the rest of their career by developing and protecting the Firms Standard of providing the highest level of IONM knowledge, patient care and customer service to all parties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned: Comply with the job description of a full-time technologist and support the Technical Director Team. Be a hands-on leader and lead by example. Collaborate with all the firms staff and clients to provide high quality neuromonitoring for optimal patient care. Be in constant communication with Tech Directors and offer support. Lead and direct the Quality Assurance, Programming Committee, and Education Teams Develop a Senior Level Technologist training program to produce Master IOM Technologists that can skillfully perform any monitoring for any type of surgery, that a surgeon would request. Get involved with complicated or unfamiliar cases. On site, real-time education during procedures will be expected. Most of the time, online, web-based oversight and support will be sufficient. Coordinate and develop a research team in order to publish white papers. Strongly encourage collaborating with other IONM companies for multi-center studies. Strive for a high performing technical team by constant analysis, training, education, and staffing of the technical personnel. Continually learn and study how to build and manage high performing teams. As an executive, assist in business development. Develop customized programs to target surgeon groups or hospital based specialty groups, i.e. lateral spine procedures, scoliosis programs, Neurosurgical centers with Computer Guidance, MRI or other advanced imaging programs, vascular and IR suite programs, etc. Comply with consensus based decisions made by the Executive Team and make sure they are implemented throughout the company Work with President to oversee and supervise all hiring, training, and development of technical team Work with President to oversee and supervise all hiring, training, and development of professional team. Also oversee scheduling, staffing and management of IPs. Ensure Tech Directors are continually updating surgeon, hospital facility and any other clients preference sheets in Salesforce CRM database (Notes and attachments section) Direct and frequent discussions and interaction with Technical Directors and CSRs about surgeon clients when their personal preferences do not meet the firms standards and protocols for monitoring, making sure we are completely meeting their expectations, their monitoring needs and supply supporting documentation when appropriate. Coordinate meetings and develop plans with Education Director, Quality Assurance Director, and Technical Directors to identify areas of improvement and ensure that these are incorporated into education and training programs as this relates to intraoperative monitoring Work with the President to update company SOPs, Employees Handbook, Policies/Procedures, and compliance filings (Joint Commission, etc.) Review IP quarterly QA reports with the Medical Director to ensure highest level of patient care Review and maintain IPs preferences against the firms protocols to best implement changes to the firms SOP to standardize and maintain cohesiveness, and ultimately improve patient care and communication to continually elevate industry standards. Make sure all equipment is inspected, serviced, and/or refurbished to ABRET/manufacturers standards sending all appropriate documentation to IT to proactively reduce equipment failures Communicate with President, CSRs, as well as technical directors, about any surgical problem, patient deficit, or serious issue, and ensure an incident report is completed Perform a variety of other duties as required or requested by the Board of Directors Always be improving yourself and your position within the company. The firm rewards and supports those individuals who demonstrate the willingness to take on new challenges, are coachable, and, are capable of working as a team Background/Experience: Nursing, CNOR, Nurse Admin, PhD or Masters level degree preferred Knowledge and understanding in neuromonitoring, neurosurgery, spine Leadership and management experience
