Ophthalmologist Opportunity Outpatient Surgical Practice in the

Type: Full-Time Hospital-Employed About the opportunity: A highly
respected 192-bed community hospital with over 35 outpatient care
centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to
join their dedicated medical staff in the picturesque Hudson Valley
region , just two hours north of New York City and 30 minutes south
of Albany. This full-time opportunity offers the perfect balance of
outpatient care and surgical volume in a patient-first environment

Position Highlights: Perform comprehensive ophthalmologic
evaluations and manage a broad range of eye conditions Conduct
surgical procedures including cataract extraction
(phacoemulsification), eyelid surgery, laser treatments, and other
anterior segment surgeries Collaborate with optometrists, PCPs, and
specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Use advanced
diagnostics including OCT, fundus photography, slit-lamp exams, and
visual fields Provide both routine and urgent ophthalmologic care
Participate in community health initiatives and quality improvement
projects Opportunity to mentor staff and contribute to a
team-oriented culture Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited
program Completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for NY
state licensure and hospital credentialing Proficiency in cataract
surgery and anterior segment procedures preferred Strong
communication skills and a collaborative mindset Prior rural or
