Job Description A nonprofit services organization on Long Island
is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their
team as their new Learning & Professional Development Specialist.
In this role, the Learning & Professional Development Specialist
(RN) will be responsible for facilitating, modernizing, and
expanding medical training across its programs. About the
Opportunity: Schedule: Flexible (including Evenings and Weekends as
needed) Hours: Standard business Responsibilities Train and certify
AMAP staff and conduct AMAP re-certifications Deliver training in:
CPR Infection Control First Aid & Seizure Bloodborne Pathogens
OPWDD Diabetes Tube Feeding Colostomy care Administer and read
Mantoux (PPD) testing Ensure all training documentation is
audit-ready based on internal and QA findings Conduct on-site,
program-specific field-based trainings as needed Perform other
duties, as needed Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School
of Nursing Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license Proficient with
MS Office and virtual platforms (Teams, Zoom) Strong public
speaking and facilitation skills Solid assessment, clinical, and
documentation skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent
communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to
detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Bachelor's Degree in
Nursing Prior experience working with the IDD population
