Job Description:
Job Summary: We are seeking a well-trained Nurse Practitioner to
join the Department of Psychiatry at HealthAlliance of the Hudson
Valley (HAHV) in Kingston, NY, which is part of Westchester Medical
Center Health Network (WMCHealth). The ideal candidate will have a
track record of clinical accomplishments in the treatment of
patients with serious mental illness, and will provide emergency
and consulting psychiatric services primarily to adult patients in
crisis, but also to children and adolescents, including triage,
diagnostic evaluations, prescribing, and care transitions as part
of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include
reviewing patients medication records to determine the
appropriateness of the existing medication regimen. This is an
employed position through WMC Advanced Physician Services, which is
a subsidiary professional corporation of WMCHealth.
Training/License: Applicants must have a Masters degree in Nursing,
Nurse Practitioner certification in Psychiatry, and a valid New
York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Additional Benefits:
