Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 52 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, nights, flexible Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – Per Diem (Breast, General & OB/GYN) Location: Bronx, NY Job Type: Per Diem / As Needed Pay Range: $40–$70 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Overview: We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Breast, General, and OB/GYN ultrasound procedures and committed to delivering high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities: Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including Breast, General, and OB/GYN studies. Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper documentation within patient records. Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnosis. Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process. Follow all departmental protocols, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any issues promptly. Assist with workflow needs, scheduling, or patient preparation as required. Qualifications: ARDMS certification in OB/GYN, Breast, or Abdomen (at least one required; multiple registries preferred). Minimum of 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred. Strong proficiency in breast, general, and OB/GYN sonography. Current BLS certification (AHA). Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a per diem, variable-schedule environment. Work Setting: Outpatient clinic or hospital-based imaging department in the Bronx. Flexible per diem scheduling based on department needs. Compensation: $40–$70 per hour , depending on experience and credentials.
