Job Description Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Post Partum Lead for a nursing job in Hartsdale, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Post Partum Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Staff Lead Lactation Consultant – Full Time, Days Location: White Plains, NY Schedule: Weekdays only, 4×10 hr shifts (flexible 8a–6p or 10a–8p). No weekends or holidays. Salary: $122,531–$157,793 (based on full-time employment) Overview Seeking an experienced Lead Lactation Consultant to support inpatient and outpatient lactation services, oversee human donor milk regulatory processes, and lead ongoing Baby-Friendly program initiatives. This role functions as both a clinical expert and program leader within Maternal Child Health. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate lactation education for staff, providers, and new team members. Organize patient education classes and outpatient lactation resources. Oversee compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements for the Human Donor Milk program. Drive and maintain Baby-Friendly designation efforts in collaboration with leadership and providers. Collect and analyze infant-feeding data to support best practices. Provide direct patient care as needed. Collaborate with the interprofessional team to support optimal infant feeding outcomes. Support infection control, patient rights, and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain IBCLC competency requirements and participate in mandatory trainings and meetings. Serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and patients on lactation-related issues. Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current NY RN license; BSN required. IBCLC certification required (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). BLS, NRP, and ACLS required. Knowledge of current lactation, maternal-child health, and nursing best practices. Strong communication, assessment, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Must meet physical requirements including mobility, patient assistance, and use of equipment. Patient Populations Served Neonatal, Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric, Bariatric, and patients with special communication or cultural needs. Permanent position requiring at least one year of postpartum or mother/baby experience. IBCLC certification, BLS, NRP, and ACLS required.
