Job Description:

Works closely with a team of specialty physicians to provide direct care to patients, consultations and serves as a consistent care coordinator through the continuum of care, assessing the physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs of the patient. Directs patients to the next appropriate service and tracks their progress. Assures that all patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical evaluation whenever indicated, and that all medical patient care is appropriately documented in the medical record. Competitive salary & benefits. Position hours are Monday - Friday, no on call requirements and no weekends. Salary negotiable. The Nurse Practitioner may be billing for their services provided including consultations and procedures; may assist during surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Experience working in subspecialties; Thoracic Surgery preferred.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered as a NP in the State of New York.
Other: Qualified for membership on the Medical Staff. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work effectively as a member of a culturally competent multidisciplinary team, have a thorough understanding of member rights, and knowledge of basic medical practice.
