We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clients team in providing exceptional care to adults and children with developmental disabilities within the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) program.As an OPWDD RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, well-being, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires expertise in nursing practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, individuals, families, and community resources. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. This is a true temp-to-perm role; you can gain access to company benefits, paid time off, and more perks once you transition!_*Responsibilities:** Registered Nurse (RN) will ensure retention, review and maintain each Individuals health records and Immunization records.* Registered Nurse ensures acquisition of physical examination by physician to achieve compliance with the OPWDD regulations.* The Registered Nurse ensures all required medical and health related documentation is complete, current and maintained in a chart/file established for each individual.* Participate in team conferences and individual program planning for each individual.* The Registered Nurse (RN) documents changes in medical status to ensure that it is complete and comprehensive.* The Registered Nurse understands the nutritional needs of students.* RN provides first aid to students as needed.* The Registered Nurse participates in counseling and teaching individuals, their families, and educational staff on topics such as personal hygiene, family life, dental care, sex education and safety education.* The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in counseling, training, in servicing and teaching of staff to ensure staff is adequately informed.*Requirements:** Must have RN license* Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related field is preferred#INDEEDTHJob Type: Full-timePay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid sick time* Vision insurancePhysical Setting:* OutpatientApplication Question(s):* What is the best phone number and email address to contact you?Experience:* Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* RN - NY (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
