Job Description:

SpineSearch is seeking an experienced medical biller to join a neurospine practice in White Plains, NY.*Position is full time, Monday through Friday, in person - offers a competitive salary based on experience, a full suite of benefits, and room for growth.*Requirements of the Medical Biller:* High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred* Must have 1-2 years of experience in medical billing* Experience with OON, speaking with insurances/patients, and appeals is highly preferred* Knowledge of Orthopedics, Spine and pain managementResponsibilities of the Medical Biller:* Register and update patient demographics in the EMR system* Verifies completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission, ensure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors.* Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions, or exclusions.* Send out and file weekly electronic and paper statements* Reading and interpreting insurance explanation of benefits.* Utilize monthly aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims aged over 30 days.* Increasing monthly collections in the revenue cycle department by implementing strategic billing practices and optimizing revenue management workflows.* Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, completion of additional information requests, etc. as requested by insurance companies.* Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and providers.* Regularly meet with Account Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles.* Regularly attend monthly staff meetings and continuing educational sessions as requested.* Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisory or Management team.* Follow HIPAA to stay compliant with the practices policies and procedures#INDLPJob Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayExperience:* Medical billing: 2 years (Required)* Out of Network: 1 year (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
