A health services organization in Westchester County is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Critical Care team as a -Clinical Nurse Educator. In this role, the -Clinical Nurse Educator - Critical Care will be -responsible for planning, implement and evaluate educational programs related to the nursing and other clinical departments. -

  Responsibilities:
  The -Clinical Nurse Educator - Critical Care -will:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Participate -in education programs and activities that promote the implementation of goals for the Nursing Division
    
  • Plan, -implement, -and evaluate -the orientation program for new staff members of the Nursing Division
    
  • Provide -educational programs based on assessed learning needs
    
  • Participate -in hospital projects, as required / requested
    
  • Act -as an educator, consultant, facilitator, clinician and resource person within the nursing division and interdepartmentally, as appropriate
    
  • Participate -in ongoing Performance Improvement activities and initiatives, as requested / required
    
  • Serve -as an educational and clinical resource with regard to problem solving through problem identification, action plan development and implementation and evaluation of outcome
    
  • Assist -in the analysis of educational programs; assist -in the maintenance of department records
    
  • Perform -all other related duties, as assigned
    
    
    Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • 2+ years of experience in a Critical Care / CTICU role or setting
      
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
      
    • Master's Degree in Nursing (or currently enrolled and actively pursuing)
      
    • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
      
    • ACLS and BCLS certifications
      
    • Solid assessment and documentation skills
      
    • Great interpersonal skills
      
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
      
    • Strong attention ot detail
      
    • Highly organized
      
      Desired Skills:
      
      
      • 
        
      • National certification in area of specialty preferred, required after 2 years in position Core Competencies
        
      • PALS certification
