Experienced RNs -are encouraged to apply; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. -Position Summary: -The goal of rehabilitation nursing is to assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation staff nurse assists clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development. The rehabilitation staff nurse designs and implements treatment strategies that are based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. -Qualifications: -Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York StateExcellent verbal and written communication skills.BSN preferred. -Prior experience using EPIC preferred. -Experience working on a med/surg unit is preferred. -Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing is encouraged. -Schedule: -Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm). Must be able to work weekends, and 13 shifts in a 4-week period. -*Currently offering a $5,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates. An additional $3.75 shift differential will be added to base salary after 3pm. Additional differential will be added for charge nurses and preceptors. - Actual offer will depend upon a number of factors including experience, education, certification(s), knowledge and skills.
