Responsibilities:
The outstanding candidate we are seeking will provide
administrative support at the Rectal Cancer Multidisciplinary Team
(RC-MDT) meetings/Cancer Conferences --- Management of accurate and
timely information to meet the NAPRC standards for each Rectal
Cancer patient.
Role requirements:Monitors patients with suspected and confirmed
rectal cancer throughout their diagnosis and treatment. The Rectal
Cancer Program Clinical Coordinator ensures that all patient care
pathways are followed according to the agreed guidelines, including
time targets. Ensures that all required information is available at
all RC-MDT meetings. Following each patient presentation at an
RC-MDT meeting, the Rectal Cancer Program Clinical Coordinator
informs the treating physician of the discussion outcomes.
Proactively coordinates pathways ensuring that all appointments,
diagnostic tests and treatments are booked within the time targets
set by the standards. Coordinating patient care with all health
care providers. The Rectal Program Clinical Coordinator may need to
contact the patient to obtain any needed information about dates,
locations, test results and any other information needed.
