The Infusion Chemotherapy Certified RN will work with a team to provide direct patient care in accordance with the Oncology standards, including planning implementation and evaluation of each patient. An important aspect of the Oncology Registered Nurses ONS day-to-day responsibilities will be to appropriately educate each patient and their families. The hospital offers several committee and group activities that the Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse will be encouraged to participate on with other members of the Cancer Center team. The Oncology Nurse will have great growth opportunities such as assuming charge nurse responsibilities, function as a preceptor for new nursing staff and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
