Responsibilities:The individual should be able to:- Assist with delivery of large scale risk and regulatory change and technical initiatives- Display agility and nuance to manage multiple deadlines across several competing and conflicting deadlines - Learn, execute and communicate regulations and strategic risk management objectives to large working groups including staff and senior management- Assist with the review, design and implementation of risk management framework including but not limited to risk governance, organization structure, policies and procedures, three lines of defense, risk measures and metrics including risk appetite and risk limits, risk monitoring and escalation- Identify current state risk management activities and governance structure, assist with formulation of the required/desired state based on regulatory and best practices, conduct gap analysis and formulate the target operating model- Assist with framing of context and objectives of projects; determination of meaningful milestones using knowledge of risk, regulation and data capabilities - Articulate challenges, issues, required decisions, path to resolving challenges, next steps, decisions, pros/cons - Assist with development of project plans, coordination of the periodic updates to the plan and status, ensure project deadlines and met and to escalate issues to the senior management- Ensure appropriate documentation of project and its deliverables- Understanding of risk management including regulatory and best practices, 20%- Understanding of program and project management, 30%,- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate these skills to capture content rich issues and drive complex initiatives; masterful in PowerPoint at distilling, rendering and visualizing complex issues in an accessible manner for executive, senior and technical audiences, 20%- Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative; intellectually curious; excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to break apart issues and come up to speed on new issues, attention to detail, 15%- Able to work well across functions, ascertain and capture multiple points of view; render information so that it is actionable, and prompt follow up, 15%QualificationsOther Skills, Abilities and/or Training- Strong technical, and quantitative analysis skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word- Experience working with internal and external teams to develop project scope- Ability to follow directions and to self-manage and prepare documentation, while managing assigned teams and projects under tight deadlines- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at various levels- Problem-solving skills in cross functional / matrix environment-Strong organizational, interpersonal and influencing skills. Consistent communication across the different functions-Strong Communication and excellent presentation skills-Project Management skillsPreferred Previous Work Experience- Experience in executing a portfolio of risk management projects and leading multiple cross-functional teams for Large U. S. Banks or FBOs; experience with working in a Big 4 or management consulting firm highly desired-Must have experience working with timelines and applying project management processes to ensure accurate and on time project delivery.- Minimum work experience in financial services industry of Five years or more.Preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications/Registrations- Masters Degree/CFA/FRM preferred.
