Accounts Payable Manager- Automotive Manufacturing Company

Position Overview:
As the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager at our automotive manufacturing company, you will oversee a team of 4 individuals responsible for accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports specific to the automotive parts industry. You will streamline operations, drive process improvements, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and manage vendor relationships.

  • In growth mode due to acquisition activity that has taken place in the last year
  • In early stages, but planning to become a publicly-traded organization!
  • Worked under great management, including their Controller (who is a CPA, looking to pass on their knowledge)
    Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise a team of 30 AP professionals, ensuring their professional growth and performance.
    • Assign workloads effectively, monitor performance, and provide guidance for meeting goals.
      Process Improvement:
      • Implement streamlined procedures and automation initiatives specific to the automotive parts industry.
      • Monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency.
        Compliance and Risk Management:
        • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
        • Mitigate fraud and compliance risks through strong financial controls.
          Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
          • Manage relationships with automotive parts vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders for efficient processes.
            Reporting and Analysis:
            • Generate reports on AP performance, analyze financial data, and provide insights for decision-making.
              Qualifications and Skills:
              • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
              • 5+ years of AP management experience.
              • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and relevant software.
              • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
