This individual will play a crucial role in managing our home health care services, ensuring the highest quality of patient care, and leading our team of skilled nurses. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned healthcare professional with a deep understanding of geriatric care and a passion for improving the lives of patients in their homes.ResponsibilitiesAs the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:1. Overseeing the daily operations of our home health care services.2. Developing and implementing nursing care plans for patients, in accordance with their specific needs.3. Ensuring that all nursing care provided meets the highest professional and ethical standards.4. Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of nurses, ensuring they are trained and competent in their roles.5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.6. Regularly reviewing and updating patient care protocols and procedures.7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.8. Managing patient complaints and concerns, and implementing changes as necessary to improve patient satisfaction.9. Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided, and implementing improvements as necessary.10. Participating in the recruitment, induction, and training of new nursing staff.QualificationsTo be considered for the role of Home Health Director of Nursing, you should have:1. A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.2. At least 5 years of experience in home health care, including a leadership or managerial role.3. Extensive knowledge and experience in geriatric care.4. Proven experience as a Patient Care Manager, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.8. A deep understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as medical best practices and procedures.9. The ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.10. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.11. Must be licensed in NY and NJ.
