Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales. Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. - Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women's markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds. Position Summary The Senior Associate, which reports to the Corporate Vice President of Business Management, Operations and Logistics is responsible for collaborating with, and supporting Agency Recruiting and Development (R&D) Senior Leaders on strategic budgeting decisions and developing C-suite decks. This role will build analytics, reporting, and develop budgets and forecast through partnering with R&D Senior leadership. In addition, this role is responsible for understanding key strategic Core/Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to plan and forecast their yearly budget
  • Monthly calls with senior leaders to execute monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting activities for their areas
  • Execute strategic analytics to support and influence decisions made by the R&D leadership
  • Partner with the R&D leadership in the development of cost benefit analysis and support the Capital Investment Committee (CIC) process
  • Collaborate with the enterprise Finance team on strategic expense focused initiatives and enhancements (i.e., Anaplan, Tableau, Centralized Data Asset)
  • Identify finance processes and/or functions that may require updates and manage end to end implementation of improvements and efficiencies Qualifications
    • Bachelor's in finance and/or Accounting
    • Master's Degree is a plus, not a must Key Skills and Licenses & Certifications
      • 5+ years of experience in FP&A and/or expense focused analytics
      • CPA/CFA preferred, not a must
      • Proficient in communication and cross functional collaboration throughout Finance and the Business Units
      • Ability to present financial deliverables, process, and results to Mid and Senior Level Leadership
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power point, and navigating through General Ledger Reporting/Budgeting applications such as SAP, Anaplan, Tableau, etc.
      • Experience with expense disciplines including: (i) cost/benefit analysis, (ii) strategic initiative benefit and costs tracking Business Knowledge:
        • A good understanding of the Financial Services industry is needed in the role to develop appropriate expense frameworks with adequate levels of detail
