OverviewAgency & Special Product Services is a part of the BCDAD group and is responsible for organizing and managing loan processes on committed deals where the bank is the administrative, collateral and/or depository agent. The department Executive Director directs and oversees the day-to-day execution of the department's duties and participates in broad based initiatives to increase efficiencies in operations and create best practices. Has unlimited authority for transaction approval and serves as final approver of complex loan documents and deal closings. Acts as the senior liaison for internal and external auditors, regulators and investigators. Escalates decision making for exceptional customer service inquiries to next level of management. Ensures business continuity under all conditions, with strict adherence to established guidelines and deadlines. Provides strategic and tactical direction to the team. Reports to the Managing Director level. Number of direct reports: up to 10. Number of indirect reports: up to 50ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities

  • Ensures that credit approvals and controls are aligned with regulatory requirements and follow policies and procedures of the Bank and Head Office.
  • Ensures all transactions are executed accurately and efficiently within market deadlines.
  • Manages and monitors staff activity to ensure timely, compliant and successful completion of all transactions.
  • Engages in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and mentorship for all in scope members. Accountability for processing and approval of outgoing payment orders.
  • Engages in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and mentorship for all team members.
  • Interfaces regularly with internal businesses units, including front office teams and senior leadership, to drive compliance and ensure that all deliverables are executed in accordance with the bank's standards of quality and service.
  • Seeks opportunities to leverage technologies to drive regulatory compliance and process improvement.
  • Monitors regulatory and procedural change and clearly communicates those guidelines to internal stakeholders; analyzes trends related to processing and documentation to identify process improvements.
  • Acts as Business Process Owner (BPO) for highly sensitive business applications; reviews and approves changes and/or user additions for applications owned.
  • Prepares and reviews reports of varying complexity for internal and external purposes.
  • Responds to inquires from internal and external auditors, regulators and investigators. Actively participates in related planning sessions and meetings. Drafts communications and provides documentation as required.
  • Reviews, updates and edits PPM annually.
  • Participates in Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure smooth recovery of applications in the event of unplanned business disruption.
  • Leads and/or participates in enterprise wide initiatives and respresents the department as a subject matter expert.
  • Provides support on project related work to other AD departments.QualificationsWork Experience:
    • 15 to 20 years of specialized experience in Financial Services and Loan Administration.
    • 3-5 years' experience managing a Back Office Operations, Accounting and/or Loan Administration team.
    • Extensive experience in and expert knowledge of commercial loan servicing activities and related loan documentation.
    • Expert understanding of loan agreements and terminology.
    • Ability to synthesize technical information, analyze risk and identify mitigating factors.
    • Proficiency in customer service and analythical skills.
    • Excellent mentoring and management proficiency with demonstrated ability to delegate and influence others.
    • Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals and track activi

    • Experienced in effective communication with external and internal customers; has experience interfacing with agent banks, relationship managers and treasury personne
    • Experiencing managing a loan documentation team in an international bank or financial services institution.
    • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Lotus Notes, Loan IQ, ACBS or related loan systems.
    • Education: Preferred BA / BS (or equivalent experience)
