Pernod Ricard USA is looking for an innovative, entrepreneurially minded individual to be the driving force behind a diverse portfolio of spirits brands. As Associate Brand Manager, this person will assist to develop and implement the strategic and tactical brand plans across Malibu, Kahl--a, Smithworks. - This role provides significant opportunity for leadership and ownership as the primary responsibilities are: proactively identifying growth opportunities across the brands, leading brand projects, including strategy development, innovation/packaging launches and creative asset development. Other responsibilities to include, but are not limited to, building digitally driven consumer programs that drive conversation and conversion, translating strategy into experiential and customer programs, and budget management. - This role will provide an exciting opportunity to become the custodian of these brands within Pernod Ricard USA. The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing multiple brands. You should consider joining us if you are consumer focused with an entrepreneurial spirit, passionate about the drinks industry and want to make an impact on the brands you are managing. - Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Strategic Planning: Assist with developing the annual operating plans. Assist to develop brand strategy, partnering with the Senior Brand Managers, Brand Engagement, and Activation Teams, and Brand Companies to develop locally relevant breakthrough consumer (communications, strategy, innovations, packaging) and customer programs. Competitive Analysis and Implications: Collaborate with insights team to drive opportunity analysis for priority brands including regularly tracking competitive activities. Asset Development: Develop brand assets by collaborating with global brand companies and brand engagement teams. Lead asset management in close collaboration with Engagement, Activation, and Brand Company. Innovation: Manage innovation launches, brand packaging design, and Value-Added Packaging. Will collaborate with Brand activation, Business Planning & Analysis, to ensure successful launches of innovations and packaging. "--Advertising & Promotions' Budget Management: Lead the management of the budgets (Annual Planning and continuous management) and conduct ROI on brand activity. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nature & Scope: Position typically works with members of the Headquarters Marketing Department, agency services personnel, and various vendor representatives. Additionally, this role requires strong project management skills, as there would be a significant leadership role expected and the ability to work across multiple brands and categories. Communication can include sensitive information requiring complete confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts. Plans activities for this position monthly with individual initiative in daily routine. Decisions impact the group and organization as a whole and errors can cause significant expense to the entire organization. - Competencies: Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree - preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, Masters in business or marketing preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience / Background: Minimum 5 years of marketing experience Required Skills/Competencies: Experience in strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand building activities (digital/social and experiential). Strong digital acumen is essential. Entrepreneurial, innovative mindset with strong leadership/ management skills. Self-Starter. Flexible and able to work with agility. Strong financial / business acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as outstanding aptitude for time management. Thoroughness, creativity, interpersonal awareness, relationship management and influencing skills as well as proficiencies in problem solving, and the ability to multitask are requirements. Spirits industry experience not required. - Working Conditions: This role is based in New York City, NY Approximately 10% travel to field locations
