Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Director of Maintenance include but
is not limited to: • Develop and maintain written maintenance
policies and procedures. • Inspect storage rooms, workrooms,
utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control. •
Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized
government agencies. • Review and develop a plan of correction for
maintenance deficiencies noted during survey inspections and
provide a written copy of such to the Administrator. • Ensure that
outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance
with contracts/work orders. • Delegate a responsible staff member
to act in your behalf when you are absent from the facility. •
Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned
personnel. • Develop procedures for performing daily maintenance
tasks. • Standardize the methods in which work is accomplished. •
Schedule work assignments, prepare work schedules, etc. Revise, as
necessary. • Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as
practical. • Ensure that painting, rework or repairing of facility
equipment is accomplished in accordance with established policies.
• Meet with assigned personnel monthly to assist in identifying and
correcting problem areas and/or improving services. Benefits for a

Referral Program Free Parking Requirements: • Must possess, as a
minimum, a 12 th grade education, or its equivalent. • Must have
experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant
related position. • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors,
generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and
plumbing systems. • Must have the ability to read and interpret
blueprints. • Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety
regulations. • Be able to speak and write the English language in
an understandable manner. • Be able to push, pull, move, and/or
lift a minimum of forty pounds to a minimum height of three feet
and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum
distance of four feet. • Must be able to work around food and
