Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Field Service Engineer positions with an internationally leading technology enterprise operating in the fields of optics and optoelectronics.

Position Details
Location: White Plains, NY (NYC)
Compensation: $85K-$95K Salary/Non-Exempt (Eligible for OT for everything over an 8-hour day), REASONABLE FIRST YEAR W2 WITH BONUSES AND OT - $120K+
Bonuses/Additional Compensation - Annual Bonus - 10%, Company Car/Gas (-$10k annual value)
Shift or Travel: M-F, Standard Day Shift, some non-traditional hours may occur
Travel: 30% (-1 night out per week)

Position Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will work in a field position that necessitates frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards required to install, service, and maintain assigned systems. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong communication skills to relay the theory and technical functions of equipment to delivery client customer settings. You will ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed and perform administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner. Effective and efficient troubleshooting is imperative in this role. You will be expected to escalate quickly when technical support is required to resolve a challenging issue.

Position Requirements
--- Solutions-oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
--- Able to provide overall account/customer management, including parts inventory, site visits, training, upgrade presentations, and more as needed.
--- Degree or Certification in Technical/Scientific Discipline OR related training and experience.
--- Sound knowledge and understanding of Laboratory Safety requirements.
--- Ability to read electrical/mechanical engineering documentation and schematics.
--- Excellent communication and time management skills.
--- Proficient with Microsoft systems.
