Job Description

Insurance Firm located in White Plains, NY seeks a Finance Administrative Assistant for an immediate long term contract role. This position may have the possibility of becoming a permanent role.

Qualifications/ Skills:

The temp's main responsibility will be to provide administrative support to the Manager of Accounting. The essential responsibilities are as follows.

Responsible for accounts payable process including:

--- review and process check requests

--- perform reconciliation of payments

--- prepare analysis of expense accounts

--- monitor accounts to ensure payments are current

--- resolve invoice discrepancies

--- correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

--- clear checks in general ledger

Assist in accounts receivable process including:

--- distribute quarterly physician invoices

--- post cash receipts to appropriate clients

--- place reminder phone calls

--- track overdue accounts

--- issue cancellation/rescission notices

--- maintain physician email contact list

Provide administrative support:

--- Professional telephone demeanor

--- Filing, scanning & photocopying


The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

--- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and strong numerical aptitude

--- Upbeat and professional demeanor

--- Great attention to detail

--- Maintain confidentiality of important and sensitive information

--- Strong attendance

--- Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision

Additional Information

Pay Rate is $30 per hour
