Data Project Manager Job Locations US-NY-White Plains Posting Date 2 months ago (2/5/2021 2:07 PM) Career Category Data Governance iCIMS ID 2020-7678 Corporate Title VP Type Fulltime-Regular Overview The Data Strategy Project Manager will join the Data Strategy Program Management Office within the Chief Data Office (ICDAD), responsible for the roll out of the Data Strategy Roadmap for the America Division of SMBC. In this role the VP will assist in the management of the overall program, as well as collaborate with the Data Domain, Data Operations and Architecture Executives and their teams in managing and documenting projects and their progress, to ensure timely meeting of deliverables, and prompt escalation of issues. Additionally, the VP will work on ad-hoc projects and / or requirements, in partnership with colleagues within the Chief Data Office team and other departments, to execute on the Data Strategy agenda as required. Responsibilities
                  • Assist the overall Data Program Management Office team with execution of the roadmap to implement the SMBC AD Data Target Operating Model
                  • Establish and/or coordinate interlocks with business teams on key transformation initiatives
                  • Collaborate with the monitoring and compliance of the different components of the Data Governance Policies, Standards and processes across the organization, and the remediation plans to address identified gaps, including responses to internal audits
                  • Responsible for one or more projects, related to process improvements and Data related transformation initiatives, with possible cross-dept coordination
                  • Responsible for the preparation of BAU and ad-hoc senior management decks and presentations
                  • Assist on building comprehensive, strategic, and cross- functional plans in support of critical business objectives.
                  • Collaborate with the Data Domain, Data Operations and Data Architecture teams to provide additional project management support based on specific requirements Qualifications
                    • At least 7 years of experience working on data related initiatives, preferable withing the Financial Services industry
                    • Strong knowledge of data and the use of data in business processes
                    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
                    • Ability to conduct analysis as part of a project related--work
                    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences
                    • Able to work autonomously and be a complete self-starter
                    • Strong project management abilities including multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and dynamic environment
                    • Skilled in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative solutions
                    • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management
